Dental Treatments

At Fraserburgh Dental we aim to provide the very best of care to our dental patients and offer a wide range of treatments from dental crowns and hygiene to Invisalign and orthodontics.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are used to replace single or multiple missing teeth or even in cases when all teeth have been lost. Implants act as artificial roots which are placed into the bone and form a screw on which a crown can be placed. This crown will be crafted by our experienced dental technicians to ensure it matches the rest of your teeth and looks natural. During a consultation, our Principal Dentist Rhagu Lal will take a CT scan to make sure you are suitable for implants and discuss all options including a treatment plan and associated costs.

Teeth Whitening

Your smile is important. It’s one of the first things you notice when you meet someone. A whiter, brighter smile is beautiful – it can help you feel better about yourself and make a memorable impression.

Your lifestyle and the aging process can stain and darken your teeth. Many things we do on a regular basis can contribute to stained teeth, such as drinking coffee, tea, cola and red wine or smoking.

Whitening can get your smile looking its best. Non-professional procedures and clinically unproven teeth whitening tips can often lead to unsatisfactory results, you should look for a whitening procedure that is:

Dentures are a removable option for replacing missing teeth. They can be particularly useful when there is extensive loss of bone support or when multiple teeth are missing. In addition to tooth replacement, dentures can also give support and structure to soft tissues of the cheek and lips, while restoring dental form and function. Our skilled dental technicians will construct the dentures in the laboratory based on our prescription. Following the denture fitting, the gums underneath still need to be kept healthy and we will advise you on how to care for your dentures and maintain overall good oral health.

root canal treatment in fraserburgh

Root Canal Treatment

While a simple filling can often resolve broken or decayed teeth, sometimes, when the problem has reached the pulp or nerve of the tooth, root canal treatment is necessary.

First, we will remove the damaged or infected nerve before cleansing and shaping the inner canal to prevent reinfection and then sealing fully. Once the endodontic treatment has been carried out a crown, usually gold or porcelain, may be used to cover a tooth that has a large opening after root canal therapy.

Play Video about invisalign teeth straightening

As the name suggests, Invisalign is a series of clear removable aligners customised for you that gently move your teeth into the desired position.

Invisalign is so discreet that most people won’t be able to tell you are wearing them. The aligners are fully removable and should only be taken out for eating and cleaning.

Our Principal dentist Sakshi Lal is a certified Invisalign provider and using the Itero scanner can show you a 3D simulation of what your teeth will end up looking like before treatment has even begun.

Dental Crowns & Bridges

Dental crowns can be used to restore fractured and worn out teeth, to protect teeth that have been filled by root canal treatment, to provide extra support for bridges, and to cover poorly shaped or discolored teeth. First, we prepare the tooth before taking an impression which is then sent to a dental laboratory where expert technicians will create the dental crown out of metal, resin or ceramic materials.

A dental bridge restores missing teeth by “bridging” the gap between two existing teeth. The crowns are fixed over the remaining teeth to hold the false tooth in place. Unlike partial dentures, bridges are fixed therefore patients do not need to remove them. The lost tooth is replaced with an artificial one attached between two crowns and is permanently cemented onto the adjacent teeth.
